UWE approached me needing a video that would summarise the offering of their BA(Hons) Creative Media Design course to potential students visiting their website.
Working with the course’s Programme Leader – Rod Dickinson, we developed a written storyboard of shots to aid in putting together a shot list and organising shoot locations and individuals. With regards to visual style, it’s important to retain brand consistency when working on corporate video, so I set to researching the company brand.
After some research and a lot of note taking on UWE’s brand and visual style, I realised that a lot of their key messaging revolved around providing inspiration and a platform that promises employability for its students. With regards to its content, Rod and I decided that we should have a mixture of both students and lecturers speaking about their experiences of the course. We wanted to showcase some of the practical spaces such as one of the UWE Mac labs where projects are produced on the course, whilst showcasing parts of the city to highlight the creative inspiration that the city of Bristol provides for its students.
UWE were very happy with the final video. Video and testimonial coming soon. See my video showreel for some example shots.
