City-Cab Tours approached me wanting everything I could offer; marketing advice and support, website production, graphic design and photography. When starting a new business, start up costs can quickly begin to rise, but it’s important to nail your brand from day one, as the old saying “you can’t make a second, first impression” really rings true in the world of going to market.
City-Cab Tours is a company that offers taxi tours in Bristol. After some initial discussion and further research, coupled with my experience in the Bristol and UK tourism sector, I was able to identify that City-Cab Tours’ key market was B2B professionals staying in Bristol for a short amount of time but still wanted to spend a little bit of money to see everything the city has to offer in a short space of time. Secondary markets would include retired individuals with a bit more holiday budget that were interested in taking a bespoke tour of the city. With these target markets in mind, I identified to City-Cab Tours that they needed a clean, professional and slick looking image, whilst giving hints towards the professional but friendly service that the company owner and driver/tour guide Jon provides.
Putting pencil to paper, and armed with my own research and Jon’s ideas, I settled on a logo design that would feature a skyline of Bristol’s most famous landmarks that would offer the clean and professional look, whilst being paired with a hand-written logo type to sell Jon’s personality.
With the logo designed, I then went onto design Jon’s leaflets, business cards and car stickers whilst retaining brand consistency.
Then next step was to work with him planning, writing and producing his website content. For part of this I identified a list of images that needed to be produced and I went out with Jon to take, edit and supply all of the images for his website which you can check out here.
Have a look at the company’s website as it serves as a good example of what I can achieve for you visually on a budget. If you’d like to meet up for a free consultation to discuss your company’s requirements then please do get in touch here. I look forward to hearing from you!
