A good friend of mine Billy Driscoll is a musician who performs professionally in Bristol, doing both covers and his own original written work.
Billy came to me wanting to shoot a simple video for one his original songs called Letters From Paradise. All he knew was that he wanted to shoot it outdoors on Bristol’s historic harbourside, which left the brief very open to creative input!
Billy and I ventured down to the harbourside and settled on a spot on the old steam train platform down by Brunel’s SS Great Britain. With the weather on our side, we managed to get some beautiful looking shots down by the tracks along the harbourside. I also had the idea of animating the lyrics in the choruses, so I made sure that I allowed some space in key shots to animate the lyrics in.
Billy was really happy with what we achieved with the video. Video and testimonial coming soon. See my video showreel for some example shots.
